Being pleasing to God is not a matter of good intentions. Believing on the Lord Jesus Christ enables us to become a new creation and be pleasing to God. Man must acknowledge that he needs a Savior and accept God’s plan of salvation. This is man’s “ticket” to eternal life and righteousness before God.(01-09-00 T. Burke)
1410 – Nature and Nurture
Regardless of our personal circumstances, all of us are born with two great obstacles: the world around us (which is ruled by Satan) and the sin inherited from Adam. However, in Christ we enter into God’s kingdom and receive an entirely new nature. By these, we can begin to live lives of freedom and holiness. [Tom Burke]
