Defeat at the Cross

#1260 – December 19, 2021

The Devil, God’s adversary is out to stop God’s plan and fulfill his own selfish one. Why would the Devil have crucified Jesus Christ when it was so clearly a part of God’s purposes? Both the New Testament and Old Testament show that the death and the resurrection of the Messiah were a part of God’s plan. The Devil did what he did not out of ignorance but to try to break our Lord Jesus and cause him to sin. He took the risk, and was defeated in a much bigger way then he had ever anticipated.
