Why Mark & Luke Specifically (New Testament 3)

#1363 – February 4, 2024

Part 3 in a New Testament Overview series. God had Mark write of the events of Jesus’ ministry from the perspective of one that was there watching and noticing the most intimate details. God had Luke write and emphasize the events surrounding Jesus’ birth and early ministry that provided proof in real time that he was the Christ. Luke’s Gospel also emphasizes the response of people to Jesus, whether good or bad, and the fact that Jesus didn’t come just for the masses but for the individual. God wants the Gospels to encourage us to have certainty in our Lord and to follow his example.
