In the book of Ezekiel we see God’s anger against Israel and against sin. We deserved this same anger as well, BUT, Jesus Christ took our punishment, which was death! Before getting born again we were bound to sin, but because of the new birth we now have the freedom to stop sinning – but first we must reckon the old man dead. By a simple act of believing we have forgiveness for sin, freedom from sin, and the victory over death. [Tom Burke]
