The law was a standard to show man that no matter how hard he tried, he could not measure up to God’s standards. As good as the law was, man was not able to change his bad behavior. But the grace of God through Jesus Christ enables us to live according to this higher standard. We can walk in the spirit of life in Christ Jesus and when we do, we fulfill the righteous requirement of the law. [Tom Burke]
