God makes only three distinctions in men; the spiritual, the natural, and the carnal. Carnality occurs because man chooses to not put on and believe the Word of God. The outward evidence of carnality is strife and division. God’s given us everything in Christ. When we know and believe this, there’s no reason for strife and division. He continuously exhorts us in His Word to put off carnal thoughts and put on spiritual. [Tom Burke]
