Hell

#507 – March 25, 2007

Most people believe that “hell” is a place where bad people go after they die. In this teaching we went to the Word of God to see how “hell” is used. It is clear from both the Old and New Testaments that “hell” is not a place of torment but rather the grave, the place where all the dead dwell. Another way it could be stated is as gravedom. Resurrection is the only exit from this state of gravedom. As Christ was raised from the grave, so will those believers in Christ be who have fallen asleep. [Wayne Merrill]
