Romans 9:28-10:17

#699 – November 28, 2010

The standard God set for righteousness was believing on Jesus Christ, but Israel wanted to hold to the law as their standard. They had heard the truth, but they did not like God’s method or the fact that the Gentiles could also receive it by believing. This, however, does not alter God’s requirement for salvation of acknowledging the Lordship of Jesus Christ and the truth of his resurrection. [Tom Burke]
