Your Value

#737 – August 28, 2011

Our lives have value. The value of our lives is not based on our achievements. Our lives are valuable and we have worth, not because we earned this status, but because God chose to consider us valuable, and make us such. All that is of value and worth in us, we can ascribe to God’s grace and Christ’s work. The value God has chosen to place upon our lives should never be questioned. Man’s judgments regarding our value and worth cannot be the final say. Understanding our worth and value is not to the end of self-fulfillment, or contending for superiority. We can be forward to give others honor and care, because they are just as valuable. We can never dismiss the importance of showing value and honor to each other. [Dustin Doherty]
