I Am with You

#757 – January 29, 2012

An examination of the opening sections of the book of Haggai, in which God’s people, in response to His Word, changed from being people in awe of the world to people in awe of God and thus capable of fulfilling His will. Application is made to the church and the individual Christian, in that we too must choose between being in awe of the world or of our God. Righteousness is discussed as a particular example: the world and the Devil will attempt to paralyze the Christian through guilt over past sins, and yet God says “righteous”. The voice we listen to will determine the victory of our Christian lives. [Tom Burke]
