John 21

#827 – June 9, 2013

After a brief overview of the significance of the 40 days between Jesus Christ’s resurrection and ascension, this teaching covers the record of John 21. At this crucial time, Peter’s love and devotion for the one he called lord was wavering. Afterwards, however, (with the help of Jesus’ challenging words recorded in John 21) we see Peter as a devoted servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. We, too, can honestly ask ourselves the question, “Do I love him?” And, by looking to the cross, we can grow in our love for him. [Josh Thomas]
