Pursue Love

#840 – September 8, 2013

This teaching examines 1 Corinthians 13 in its context. This chapter about love was written to children of God who were able to walk in love like their Father God. However, the Corinthian church was not doing this, instead they were fleshly. Considering 1 Corinthians 12-14 as a unit, we see that even though the church had a zeal for spiritual matters, their zeal was a fleshly zeal. The reproof of Chapter 13 encourages the Corinthian church to pursue love, the greatest virtue available to the Christian in the here and now. [Josh Thomas]
