God’s Power in the Gospel

The gospel is not only needed to become a Christian, but as a Christian continues to be the power of God that enables us to live the Christian life. Just as in the new birth where we humble ourselves to God’s Word and are changed, all glory goes to God. So the Christian life is one of continually humbling ourselves to what God says and being transformed all to the glory of God! The fullness of what God has done for us in Christ can be experienced by anyone who chooses to believe the Gospel, because it’s not about what any of us bring to the table but rather God’s ability to change us.
