More of Christ

#1069 – February 11, 2018

Christians are instructed to have joy both despite difficulty and also because of difficulty. No matter what happens we are more than conquerors, so we can have joy despite any difficulty. And since tribulation met with faith builds Christian maturity, God also tells us to have joy because of difficulty. So it’s not that we are to become masochistic martyrs, but rather we’re happy to see more of the strength of Christ manifested in our lives. As added encouragement to endure trials, God tells us that one day we’ll see the Lord we love and have the opportunity for him to say, “Well done.” [Josh Thomas]
