Accepted AND Well Pleasing

God has made us righteous, acceptable, and without reproach in His sight only by His grace and the blood of Jesus Christ. This teaching identifies how these blessings were independent from our works and deeds, and how we could never achieve this condition by our performance. Nevertheless, God does care about good works — just not for securing any of these blessings that God has given to us freely in Christ. This teaching also discusses how good works are actions that are performed by the right process or motive — one constrained by the love of Christ. God rewards those types of works. [Dustin Doherty]
