Compassion in Action

#581 – August 24, 2008

The Scriptures speak of those who hear the Word with gladness, but who when pressure or persecution arises, turn from that Word and don’t believe it. Herod and some others in Ezekiel’s time are examples of such. Jesus Christ in spite of hearing the news of John the Baptist’s death was able to have compassion on the multitudes. We too can make a decision to look with spiritual eyes and have compassion instead of our natural response. [Tom Burke]
