The Rejoicing Father

In this teaching we looked at Figures of Speech. It is important to take God’s Word literally, but when Figures of Speech like parables are used it’s important to remember that there is a specific point made and not everything in the parable is literal. In the parable in Luke 15 what is being compared to the rejoicing of heaven is “Lost, Found, and Rejoicing”. We need to remember that our names are written in the Book of Life and that is cause for great rejoicing in heaven. [Tom Burke]
