By His Stripes

God set forth Jesus Christ to be a payment for man’s sins. In the Old Testament Israel was accounted righteous as they kept the law. God knew those sacrifices did not pay for their sins, but Jesus Christ’s coming would. This showed forth the righteousness of God. As Israel kept the law, righteousness was reckoned to them. In Isaiah it says that Jesus Christ bore our sicknesses and sins. His bearing our sicknesses is the same. He bore them once and for all. By his stripes we were healed. So not only were our sins completely forgiven, our sicknesses have been paid for in Christ as well. As we rise up and begin to believe this we no longer have to live with sickness, etc. This is something that we can believe and see come to pass in our lives.
