Our Warfare

The Christian life was never intended to be a search for self-fulfillment: we have that fulfillment in Christ. Rather, as fulfilled Christians we are here in this world to take the place of our Lord in standing against the Devil and in rescuing men and women out of his kingdom. This teaching draws comparisons between our present battle and the one recorded in 1 Samuel 17 regarding David and Goliath. Fear and believing are also discussed. [Tom Burke]
