Praise That Pleases God

This teaching examines what is pleasing to God, according to His Word, regarding our praise. It endeavors to answer the following questions: Why does God want us to praise Him? What does He desire in terms of our outward expression of praise, as well as our hearts? What does God desire in the content of our praise; in other words, out of all God has done, is there anything He marks out as exceptionally praiseworthy? This last question leads us to the book of Ephesians, in which God declares that which He considers to be “to the praise of His glory”. In believing these truths as individuals, we can collectively praise and glorify God as one body, united by the spirit. [Wendy Hatchett]
