God’s Word plainly tells us that our believing is to stand in the power of God, not in the wisdom of men. It is the nature of man to boast in his good works. However, our righteousness is based on God’s work alone. Thus, in the church, there is only room for glorying in the one true God through the Lord Jesus Christ. [Tom Burke]
