He’s Always a Merciful God (Old Testament 9)

#919 – March 8, 2015

This teaching provides an overview of the more than 400 years that constituted the period of Judges. Emphasis is placed on the pattern that emerges: God’s people forget Him, and thus fall into idolatry and bondage. They cry out and He delivers … until they forget Him yet again. This pattern is repeated over and over, yet God remains ever ready to show mercy to His people. The teaching closes with mention of the last judge, Samuel, whose faithfulness would allow for God to move closer to the fulfillment of His great promise. [Tom Burke]
