In His Presence

In 1 Peter 1 we read about the believers rejoicing even in the midst of suffering. In order for this to occur in Christians’ lives our focus needs to be on God and a deep relationship with Him. It can be easy to stray, leading a Christian to focus on what he or she does for God rather than on God and what He’s done in Christ. Any work for God has to be rooted in the atoning work of Christ for it to bear the fruit that God intends.
