Delegating Authority

#347 – February 1, 2004

To speak or act “in the name” indicates that you have been given the authority to do so, and you represent the one who gave you the authority. Jesus Christ was the greatest example of this. He spoke what God wanted spoken and did the works He wanted accomplished. Jesus gave the twelve and the seventy this authority in his name. Today we can speak and act in his name also.
