God Is Always Good

#490 – November 26, 2006

Paul’s entrance unto the Thessalonians was not in vain. Paul and those with him had the courage to faithfully speak and obey God’s Word, instead of trying to be men-pleasers. In the book of Samuel the people wanted a king instead of God to rule over them. God, as His nature is, gave them the best king available. Even though they sinned in turning from God, He didn’t recompense evil back to them. When we give people the Word and faithfully represent God we are not the avengers of unbelief. We need to respond to unbelief with good, and not with evil, regardless of their response. [Tom Burke]
