Persuaded Followers

Faith or believing is not meant to be an occasional thing. God wants us to trust Him in everything, all of the time! In fact, He states in Romans 14:23 that “whatsoever is not of faith is sin.” Everything we do is supposed to spring forth from a heart that is believing God’s Word. We never want to “go through the motions”, but consciously believe and trust God and His Word in all that we do. All who have believed on Jesus Christ are now part of the body of Christ, the church. It is apparent from Scriptures that the early church had some sort of structure and had leadership. It requires believing to lead God’s people and to do it God’s way. It also requires believing on the part of those following if this one body is to function as God designed. [Cathy Burke]
